For counsel and dispute-resolution teams

Make the engineering record intelligible.

A dispute may turn on what a system could do, what changed during development or how a test should be interpreted. We help counsel examine the technical record and develop explanations that remain traceable to the evidence.

01 / Key questions

Which technical questions does the matter turn on?

01

What was specified and demonstrated?

How do the agreed requirements compare with the tested configuration, the reported results and the conditions of use?

02

How did the system change?

What do dated designs, software versions, test records and engineering correspondence show about the development sequence?

03

Which explanation fits the evidence?

Could the reported result reflect design limits, implementation, test conditions or another technical cause? What would distinguish them?

02 / Review scope

What the analysis covers

01

Technical record review

Review specifications, drawings, test reports and development records within the agreed scope. Compare English and Chinese source materials where technical meaning or version differences matter.

02

Chronology and issue analysis

Reconstruct relevant technical events and connect them to the questions counsel needs answered. Identify inconsistencies, missing records and points requiring further examination.

03

Clear technical explanation

Explain system operation, test limitations and competing interpretations through concise written analysis, diagrams and briefings.

03 / Typical outputs

Technical findings for counsel

01

Technical chronology

A source-linked sequence of relevant design, development and testing events, with gaps and uncertainty identified.

02

Issue and evidence analysis

A structured account of the technical questions, competing explanations and the evidence that supports or challenges each.

03

Briefing and follow-up questions

Accessible explanations for the legal team, together with targeted document requests or technical checks for further investigation.

04 / Working together

How conflicts and scope are handled

We first establish the parties, technical subject and proposed scope so that fit and conflicts can be assessed. Counsel sets the legal questions and applicable handling requirements. The technical analysis states its sources, reasoning and limitations; any formal expert role is agreed separately for the matter.

Begin with the technical issue.

For an initial discussion, send the parties' names and a non-confidential outline. Detailed case materials can follow once the scope and handling arrangements are agreed.
